Southerlyn Reisig brings over two decades of public affairs expertise to her role as Global Partners & Philanthropy lead at Bass Public Affairs, where she drives strategic alliances and impactful giving initiatives. Renowned for her ability to forge partnerships that fuel mutual economic growth, Southerlyn excels in public relations, thought leadership, and earned media. Before joining Bass, she served as Director of Public Relations for United Way Worldwide, amplifying global community impact. As founder of Newport Partners, her consultancy, she crafts innovative solutions for economic and brand growth for clients ranging from indie rock bands to luxury brands like Baume et Mercier, industry leaders like L-3 Communications, and transportation sector innovators. A published author of CREW: A Guide to Rowing, Southerlyn’s dynamic career also includes high-profile work with clients like Barbara Corcoran and WMATA.
A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Southerlyn holds a B.A. from Salem College and an M.A. from Georgetown University. She is a founding member of The Alexandria Strategy Group and an active member of The National Press Club, The Old Dominion Boat Club, The Belle Haven Women’s Club, The Gonzaga College High School Mothers Club, and The Society of the Rose at The Basilica of Saint Mary. As a board member of the Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter and a Daughter of the American Revolution, Southerlyn combines her strategic vision and community commitment to elevate Bass Public Affairs’ global partnerships and philanthropic impact.
