Washington, DC – BondGirl books will launch a quarterly virtual book club on May 4th from the National Press Club in Washington DC. The virtual book club addresses one unspoken reality of the modern book lover. In the journey to celebrate books with others, book lovers often meet roadblocks to actually finding an open welcoming book club. The virtual book club gives readers the opportunity to join an open welcoming community.
"One of the best things about reading a great book is talking about that book with other readers," said Dee-Dee Bass Wilbon Co-Founder of BondGirl Books. "The BGB Virtual Book Club will allow readers to do just that with national and even international audiences. While we are streaming from the National Press Club, we hope that people all across the country and even the world will gather to discuss the books with us from their living rooms."
The inaugural title for the BGB Virtual Book Club is Forty Acres by Dwayne Alexander Smith. The novel is a modern-day thriller with a twist on history. The conversation takes place at the National Press Club, but it will be streamed through Periscope. To join the book club, follow BondGirl Books on Periscope @BondGirlBooks.
