Black Women's Roundtable:
Democrats are underperforming among Black Women.
The Black Women's Roundtable and Essence commissioned a survey that highlights the dissatisfaction that Black women have with the course of the nation.
The survey also reveals that Democrats are losing ground, with their most reliable voting block, Black women. Only 65% of Black women said if the midterms were held today, they would vote for the Democratic candidate. That number is down from 92% in 2018. Only 57% of Black mothers polled said they would vote for the Democrat if the midterms were held today.
As Black women express displeasure with Democrats, the survey does not show that they are turning to Republicans. Only 8% said they would vote for the Republican candidate.
